Dear Park’s Edge Preschool Families,
May was filled with lots of memories. We started off the month celebrating all our wonderful moms and grandmas during our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast held on Friday, May 8. We had 131 people in attendance. I love seeing everyone talk and connect with one another.
Thank you to all the families for making Teacher Appreciation week so special. Each day we were surprised with something fun for all the staff. A huge shout out to Amanda Cruciani and Megan Suszek for collecting the money and purchasing all the goodies. Monday: Balloon arch and campfire smores, Tuesday: Trail Mix, Wednesday: Each teacher got an Owala Cup and coffee/tea bar, Thursday: Toppers Pizza and Friday: Panera bagels. Staff could not wait to come in and see what each day had in store for them! Thank you so much! In addition, thank you to all the families who donated to the Angelman Foundation, we were able to raise $400!
Graduation 2026 was a huge success. 20 children in their caps and gowns, crossed the bridge to celebrate going to 5 year old kindergarten in the fall. We had lots to celebrate this graduation year. Mr. Cody’s daughter, Tilly, was our first second generation graduate. Ms. Makenna and Ms. Aubrey graduated from PEP and will be graduating high school in a few weeks. Ms. Maria graduated with her associate’s degree in early childhood and will be pursuing her bachelor’s degree. Thank you to Pastor Josh who started off the ceremony with a beautiful prayer and to Emanuel Church for allowing us to use the beautiful sanctuary and the adorable gift bags. We completed the evening with Granny’s Treats! We cannot wait for Granny’s Treats to start up again the week of June 25!
A huge thank you to Gail, who volunteered in our 4k classroom, reading individually with each child. It has made a huge impact in our program and we are beyond thankful. We look forward to welcoming Gail back in fall.
Summer is almost here and with that our summer program! Summer programming starts Monday June 15th, for 4’s and up. Summer packets will be in your mailboxes on Thursday, May 28 and returned by Thursday, June 11. The cost for summer programming is a flat fee of $150 per child. That will be taken from Tuition Express on Tuesday, June 2. We have another excellent summer planned. The children will get to go on the last field trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum before it is relocated, Ryan the Reptile Guy is returning, and everyone’s favorite Bubble Machine is back! Please make sure that your child is here by the time listed on the calendars to ensure the safe departure of all children on field trips. If you are unable to make the time, you can either drop your child off at the trip location or find alternate arrangements until we return for the day.
Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 18th at 10am is PEP’s bike blessing for all age groups, led by Pastor Josh of Emanuel Church. Please bring your child’s scooter or bike and helmet to be a part of the bike blessing. No hover boards or electronic/motorized bikes/scooters (non-motorized only). Please make sure to label your child’s bike. The baby strollers are even blessed that day.
