Dear Park’s Edge Preschool Families,
Another epic summer in the books. My hope is the memories made over the summer are ones that the children will remember for a lifetime. From hearing the ice cream truck music coming down the road every Thursday, impromptu water days, snack and lunch outside, and lots of fun field trips. Walking throughout the building, the rooms were buzzing with laughter and fun. Please check out some of the pictures on the TV by the mailboxes to get a glimpse into summer fun.
A huge thank you to all families for making alternate arrangements for our Professional Development Day on Friday, August 22. We spent the morning getting ready for fall and the afternoon in trainings. Our topics included: 1. The Teaching Cycle 2. Portage Assessment Tools 3. Epi pen Training 4. Christian component. Did you know that all full-time staff require 25 hours of in-service training? Every month at our evening staff meetings we have an hour of training as well as our Professional Development Days. The trainings are to ensure that we are maintaining the best practices when it comes to child development.
All good things must come to an end… Granny’s Treats served their last ice cream treat on Thursday, August 28. The highlight was the school-agers getting to choose off the ‘secret menu’ on the last day of Granny’s Treats. It’s a rite of passage to get to pick a special last treat of the summer.
Mark your calendars for Open House on Thursday, September 4 from 5-6:30pm. This year we will have an activity in your child’s classroom. The Love Bugs & Beautiful Butterflies will be making a family collage for your child’s crib. Dragonflies and Bee’s will be making a picture page of your child to be put in a class book. We will make copies, so every family has a friend book. In the lower-level classrooms, we will have a cut out person to decorate with your child. While you are decorating, we will have pizza served. It’s a great opportunity to meet other families in your child’s class as well as connect with their teachers. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Float Staff- Ms. Kasey, Ms. Nola & Ms. Savannah. Support Staff: Ms. Makenna, Ms. Aubrey and Ms. Annabel.
With school back in session, if your child is riding the bus, please arrive by 8am to ensure that everyone is ready to go by 8:15am. Please drive safely throughout the parking lot as we have children entering and exiting the bus.
Friendly Reminder: Annual Registration Fee will be charged to your account Tuesday, September 9, for continued enrollment in fall. It is $100 one child/$150 family.
Park’s Edge Preschool will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1. Regular charges are applied. Have a restful holiday weekend after a busy summer!
