April showered Park’s Edge Preschool with Easter eggs, the Easter Bunny, and the Week of the Young Child… PEP’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held on Good Friday, April 7 at 10am. Everyone was ‘egg’cited to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny after a busy morning of hiding Easter Eggs on the playground(s) so children could hunt for them during outdoor playtime. Please check out the photos in the front entrance area of Park’s Edge Preschool. PEP loves our special visitor, Mr. Easter Bunny (aka Mr. Cody)!
Park’s Edge Preschool honored parents, staff, and young children by cele-brating the national ‘Week of the Young Child,’ WOYC, April 17-21. The WOYC serves as a time to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child experiences the type of environment that promotes learning…at home, school, and in the community. Parents and staff were treated throughout the week with a variety of gifts and goodies in celebration of early childhood. Thank you to all our families who made the week memorable for all the staff, we were so grateful. A special thank you to Liz Brever and Erin Bruner for organizing something special each day. Monday: Breakfast, Tuesday: Flowers for the classrooms and office, Wednesday: Qdoba lunch, Thursday: a loaf of artisan bread for each staff , Friday: Special snacks and $10 Culvers gift cards to each staff member. WOYC gives us an opportunity to celebrate early childhood professionals and the children and families we serve!
Park’s Edge Preschool has an amazing and safe summer planned for 2023. PEP’s summer program packets are available now. This year we plan to take children 4 and up to Swimtastic in Franklin for safe swimming in an enclosed, indoor pool staffed with lifeguards. The children and staff are up for a safe swimming experience scheduled in June, July, and August. Did you turn you completed Summer Enrollment Survey yet? If not, please do, we want to account for everyone in our program with quality Christian childcare at Park’s Edge Preschool. Summer fun kicks off Monday, June 12th. Permission form packets for children ages 4 and up will be available the week of May 8th. We are asking that forms be completed and returned by May 25th. The activity fee will be $150.00 for the 2023 Summer Program withdrawn on Friday, June 9th in one lump sum. The staff and I are looking forward to a fun summer at PEP. Staff will be retrained on PEP’s fieldtrip policies and procedures at the May 4th staff meeting to set the stage for a safe summer
Park’s Edge Preschool has planned an exciting celebration for PEP mothers and grandmothers on Friday, May 12 from 7-8am. You will be invited for breakfast with their child. If it weren’t for our working mothers PEP wouldn’t be here! Happy Mother’s Day to the many women that nurture children and/or pets. Please look at your mailbox for details.
Thursday, May 25th, we celebrate another milestone at Park’s Edge Preschool. The 2023 Preschool Graduation Ceremony is planned for fifteen preschoolers entering 5K in the fall 2023. This is an exciting event for staff and parents, who have nurtured and encouraged these children from infancy on. Congratulations to PEP’s 2023 preschool graduates and their families! Congratulations to all preschool, high school, and college graduates of 2023…we are proud of you!
Thursday, June 1, 2023, Park’s Edge Preschool celebrates its twenty-fourth anniversary in serving the community with Christian childcare! Next year is Park’s Edge Preschool’s silver anniversary celebration…twenty-five years! We are already planning a huge anniversary reunion celebration, so save the date and help us spread the word, Saturday, June 1, 2024! PEP will be in the Fourth of July Hales Corners Parade this year promoting this exciting event for 2024 at Park’s Edge! Watch for details about the July 4th parade and how you can participate with us for those families interested. Thank you!
