Everyone is buzzing with excitement as we get closer to Valentine’s Day! The children have been working hard to make Valentine’s cards for Emanuel Church and the Hales Corners Care center.

Wednesday, February 14th will be PEP’s annual Valentine’s parade at 10am in the Emanuel Church Sanctuary. Please have your child wear pink, red, purple, white, and/or hearts. Also, each classroom will be having their own activity for Valentine’s Day, so watch out for news on that from your child’s classroom.

Emanuel Church will be hosting a Lego night on Thursday, February 8th! There is a flyer included with the information.

If there is a change to your child’s daily schedule (ex: if sick, leaving early, bus change) please message us in ProCare. This will update the office and your child’s teacher.

Thank you to all that joined me for coffee with the director on January 25th. I had fun getting to know you and look forward to our next gathering! We also decided on the topic for the next coffee with the director: Redirection. This has been a popular topic of conversation and I look forward to talking about it with you all. The next coffee with the director will be Thursday, February 29th from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.

Our Purple Moon Room has been open for a month now and the children are loving their new classroom! Ms. Mariah has worked hard to plan activities that make learning fun and exciting. The classroom has really come together, and the children feel it is their own!

Though it is cold and gray, Summer is on the way! Ms. Nicole, Mr. Cody, and Ms. Melinda are starting to plan activities and field trips for our summer program. These will be completed and handed out during Spring break. More information to come in March!

Currently, we are working on hand washing. We let the children help with the process, so they learn about germs and how to stay as healthy as possible. To help further encourage this I am asking that parents please wash their child’s hands upon entering the classroom. This will also help us prevent the spreading of germs and further teach the children why hand washing is important. We appreciate your help in keeping our center healthy!

I hope you all have a wonderful February and Valentine’s Day!

Sincerely,

Haley Bigger
