Spring has sprung at Park’s Edge Preschool and several staff PEP is well rested after vacationing during spring break thanks to the response from many parents. Thank you!
April 2022 brings many positive adventures to PEP…We will kick off the month with Picture Day on Friday, April 1…no fooling! Your children will be photographed individually and together by Lifetouch from 7 to 11 am. Be sure to fill out the form and return it to the PEP office. The Shining Stars Group will be photographed for Preschool Graduation for the children entering 5-year-old kindergarten in fall. Please be sure they are in attendance for the group photo at 11:30am. Thank you.
PEP’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is on Friday, April 15th. The school-age group will help the Easter Bunny by hiding fun-filled plastic eggs for all ages on their designated playground. The children will look for ‘their’ eggs during their classrooms regularly scheduled time outdoors. Mr. Bunny is making a surprise visit for group photos too!
Spring always brings change…time change; weather change; and some staff changes to Park’s Edge Preschool. We have added several new teachers to Park’s Edge Preschool. Ms. Autumn has joined Ms. Julie in the Beautiful Butterflies. Ms. Jacinda is training with Ms. Sandra with the Fantastic Frogs. Park’s Edge has also been able to successfully fill our cook’s position…yeah! Ms. Cathleen joined PEP in the kitchen on February 21. Welcome to our new staff! Park’s Edge Preschool’s 2022 summer fun is being planned already and will be available at PEP’s Spring Fling on Thursday, April 7th. We have an exciting summer in the works. Due to the confinements possibly related to COVID, most of our fieldtrips will be limited to ‘in-house’ or trips to local parks. A flat fee of $100.00, per child, will be charged for the summer programming to all families with children ages 4-years old, and up. The fee will be charged June 10th for those attending through summer 2022. The summer program starts Monday, June 13. A summer survey will be distributed to families the week of April 4th with a return date no later than April 29th. Please return the completed survey asap for summer staffing and planning purposes. The 2022 National Annual Week of the Young Child (WOYC) is celebrated April 3rd through 9th. The WOYC serves as a time to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child experiences the type of environment that promotes learning…at home, at school, and in the community. We are blessed that Emanuel Church offers such an environment to the children/families at Park’s Edge Preschool. I urge your participation and continued support of programs that encourage literacy, violence prevention, and child health. Please be sure to see details under NAC Nook and WOYC flier for the entire week of celebrations for the Week of the Young Child at Park’s Edge Preschool.
A ‘Spring Fling’ at Park’s Edge Preschool is scheduled during the WOYC, on Thursday, April 7th from 5 to 7pm. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance for individual child and family photos in the Narthex. Every classroom will feature spring/Easter activities. There will be more family fun, refreshments, and fellowship in Kurth Hall. We are extending a warm invitation to PEP families to come visit with the Easter Bunny and get to know your child’s playmates, their families, and the PEP staff too. What a great way to kick-off the spring, and the Easter holiday season. Please be sure to RSVP at the front desk. Be sure to sign-up for your individual family session with the Easter Bunny in the Narthex…it was a success for Santa at Christmas time. Thank you!
