Dear Park’s Edge Preschool’s Families:
What a month October has been! Thank you to the many families that attended PEP’s Family Harvest Fest and bringing non-perishable food items. It is always a fun cele- bration. If you missed it this year, please watch for pictures of the staff’s costume theme. This year was made memora- ble because the staff dressed up in honor of the 2018 roundabout road construction season Please drive care- fully when entering and/or departing from our parking lot into the roundabout. Safety first at PEP!
Calling all frazzled fami- lies…please sign up and enjoy the home-made Pasta with spaghetti-sauce-to-go on Wednesday, November 14th. In this hectic world who isn’t going to appreciate taking home a home-cooked meal? Included in each meal-to-go was a family prayer. Emanuel Church’s ‘Good News Group’ intention, is to treat Park’s Edge Preschool families to quality time with a warm meal. Thanks again to Emanuel Church’s volunteers and the ‘good news’ group who are serving this treat again! Please sign-up at the front office desk so you do not miss out by Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
Food is love and we have a lot to go around at Park’s Edge Preschool. Thank you to the many families at Park’s Edge Preschool that collect- ed and donated non-perishable food items in honor of the virtual CROP Walk. CROP is the acronym for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty and it is one of the many opportunities to demonstrate to the children Christian values. Collected non-perishable foods will be donated to Milwaukee’s Hunger Task Force/ CROP Walk. Our next food collection will be Jesus’ Birthday Celebration Thursday, December 13th.
Here’s a great gift idea— LifeTouch Portraits will be here Thursday, November 15th from 7-11 am. The LifeTouch photographers will be photographing children (siblings together and sepa- rate) with a holiday back- ground and regular back- ground for parents to choose from. Portrait packages will be back in time for the Christmas Season.
Effective communication has an important impact on your child’s growth and develop- ment. November is the time of year for evaluations. Center evaluations, classroom evaluations, staff and chil- dren’s evaluations are on the horizon. Park’s Edge Pre- school bi-annually offers for- mal conferences in November and May. Conference Night will be held Thursday, No- vember 15th from 5:30-7:30 pm. All parents of children in our program are encour- aged to come. Make an ap- pointment on the‘Conference Sign-up Sheet’posted in your child’s class- room November 5 to 14. You will have an opportunity to see his/her portfolio while you are waiting to confer with your child’s teacher. Please be sure to take the time to fill out the NAC Evaluation Survey about Park’s Edge Pre- school. We value your feed- back—it’s important to our program’s growth and development too!
