Dear Park’s Edge Preschool Families:

‘I hope you all had a wonderful October and are looking forward to a season of Thanksgiving! I am very thankful to have had such a wonderful maternity leave and am happy to be back at PEP with all the wonderful families, children, and staff.

The children and families had a ton of fun during our Trunk-or-Treat! We had such fun themes and loved the creativity our staff have shown! Love Bugs theme was Hocus Pocus, Beautiful Butterflies had fun Under the Sea, Darling Dragonflies took us back to the fun 90s, Busy Bees’ theme was on the Farm, Shining Stars showed us how groovy the 70s were, Sunshines were the Three Blind Mice, while Frogs Shone their Light for Jesus, School agers brought the fun by creating a bus of Minions, the office enjoyed being characters from Monster’s Inc., and Emanuel taught us about the Holy Ghost! The children enjoyed getting candy, seeing all the creatively decorated vehicles, and playing with their school friends. Next up for our Spooky festivities was our Halloween parade which was a success! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to attend our Halloween Parade this year! We even had Waldo (Pastor Josh) and a puppy (Ms. Karin) attend the parade! We look forward to our many festivities in November.

Kicking off November is our Professional half day November 8th, 2024. PEP will only be open until 12pm. The teachers will be learning about classroom management, curriculum, and health and safety.

Starting Monday November 18th, 2024, Park’s Edge Preschool will be hosting a Scholastics Book Fair! There are a variety of books for every age! All payments will go through tuition express. Who is not frazzled around the holidays? One thing that always makes everything better is our Family Frazzled Dinner! This year the Family Frazzled Dinner is on Wednesday November 20th, 2024. If you have not signed up already, please do so at PEP’s front desk by Friday November 15th, 2024. On the menu this year are delicious Sloppy Joes made by Emanuel Church! We thank them for providing such a wonderful dinner each year and making one night less razzled. We look forward to a nice meal with our families as well as a nice prayer provided by Pastor Josh.

Thursday November 21st, 2024, is conference night! It is a great time for parents to learn about our curriculum and speak with our teachers about how much their children are learning! During conferences teachers discuss and partner with parents on learning goals for the children. We go over developmental milestones such as beginning stages of writing, counting, hand eye coordination, and more. Each age group has their own set of goals and will carry these assessments with them to the next classroom so we can see how much they are growing each year!

In celebration of Thanksgiving PEP will be closed on Thursday November 28th and Friday November 29th, 2024. We will resume care on Monday December 2nd, 2024. Normal charges will be applied.

There is a lot to be grateful for this year! We have been blessed with new windows, new paint, and new rugs. Thank you to Mr. Lonny for helping out during the window project. Have a blessed season of giving thanks everyone!

Sincerely,
Haley Bigger
