The sun is shining, the trees are getting green, and the warm weather has arrived!
We are excited to announce our Mother’s Day Breakfast will be Friday May 10th. Come join us for French toast, eggs, and sausage to celebrate the wonderful mothers and grandmas of Park’s Edge Preschool! We will have seating assigned to ensure your family has room to sit together. Breakfast will be served from 7am – 8am. We look forward to celebrating all the wonderful moms and grandmas and cannot wait to see you all for breakfast!
Thursday May 9th will be conference night at Park’s Edge Preschool! The sign-up will be available soon in your child’s classroom. During the conference you will hear about the goals your child is working on and all they have accomplished in their classrooms. Please let us know if you have any questions about conferences and any goals you would like to discuss.
The Pre-K children have all learned so much during their days here at Park’s Edge Preschool! Next year some of our Stars and Moons children will start 5-year-old Kindergarten. We will host a graduation ceremony for all 24 of our Pre-K graduates going to 5-year-old Kindergarten on May 23rd, 2024. Thank you for letting us be a part of your child’s educational journey and we are excited to celebrate all they have learned at PEP! The ceremony will be at 7 pm in the sanctuary of Emanuel Church. Afterward, there will be cupcakes to go!
Ellen and I attended the WCCAA conference together. It was a great time meeting other directors from various districts. The conference talked about ensuring that we take time to focus on mental health and that we help ourselves so we can do our best to help others in our care. They offered strategies such as meditation, setting “me” time, and praying. They had wonderful vendors who had ideas on fun materials for the classroom, books about maintaining your mental and physical health, and universities that offer early childhood programs. It was a wonderful conference where I made great connections!
Summer packets have been handed out and summer enrollment forms received. I am excited about all our wonderful field trips and cannot wait to begin our summer adventures. Also, now that the weather is nice and summer is around the corner, please ensure you bring your children in the proper warm weather gear. Shoes and sandals must have backs and be closed-toed. This is to ensure safety when walking down the stairs, playing on the playground, and playing in the classrooms. Thank you all for helping us keep the children safe!
June 1st will be PEP’s 25-year anniversary celebration! There will be food, fun activities, and music! Please mark this wonderful event on your calendars. We thank you for trusting your children in our care and being a part of our Park’s Edge Family! We look forward to celebrating our growth and presence in the community on June 1st, 2024, from 10am to 1pm. Sign-up will be at PEP’s front desk
