Dear Park’s Edge Preschool Families,
Summer is off to a fantastic start. It’s officially summer when you hear the music from Granny’s Treats coming every Thursday afternoon. Watching the children get so excited to show me what treat they picked is the best!
Thursday, June 26th over 75 bikes, scooters and baby buggies were blessed by Pastor Josh. It is such a great way to start the summer making sure that the children have a safe ride wherever the summer adventures take them.
Lots to Celebrate! Congratulations to Ms. Kasey for achieving her associate’s degree in early childhood and Ms. Maria for achieving her Preschool Credential. Both have worked so hard to accomplish their goals and deserve to be celebrated!!! We surprised them by playing Celebration music and tossing confetti in the classroom. The children cheered for them!
We had so many fathers and grandfathers here for an afternoon of fun for Father’s Day. Thank you to all the dads who took time out of your busy afternoon to spend time in the classroom celebrating all you do for your family. We hope you had a relaxing weekend.
We are so excited to welcome back Ms. Bella, Ms. Alex, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Susan and Ms. Emily H. for the summer. In addition to staff returning, we had several families return for the summer program and we cannot believe how much the children have grown. It truly is a family reunion this time of year.
Our first annual 4th of July parade will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 10am. All are welcome to participate.
Just a reminder that we are closed Friday, July 4th, 2025. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday! Regular charges are applied.
It’s that time again…Emanuel Church is having their annual vacation bible school July 21 to July 24, 2025 (Monday through Thursday) from 5:30-7:30pm. The theme is Egypt: The Story of Moses. There is a sign up at Park’s Edge front desk. It is for children ages 3 and up, and all children must be potty trained. Dinner is provided. The children are walked to VBS from their classroom when it starts. Please let us know if you have any questions about vacation bible school.
Field trips are off to a great start for our Stars, Moons, Young Snakes, and Older Snakes classrooms. The highlight so far was Ryan the Reptile Guy who brought with him lizards, frogs, and snakes. The children’s favorite was the frog named Meatball, who was 8lbs and her baby named Swedish Meatball!
Community Happenings:
Tuesday, August 5 is Hales Corners Night Out from 5:30-8pm. There will be over 25 vendor booths, live Music, car & boat show, raffles, face painting, fire & police cars, kid’s games, food and beverages. It’s a fun night for the whole family. Stop by our booth and say hello.
I hope everyone has a fantastic July and I look forward to next month reporting on all the fun updates we did throughout the month.
Sincerely,
Kristin Burr
