Dear Park’s Edge Preschool Families:

Spring brings change to Park’s Edge Preschool…time change; weather change; andsome welcome changes at PEP…new staff! I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Jessyca, Ms. Megan and Ms. Angela to Park’s Edge Preschool! We are excited to add them to the team! Jessyca brings experience working with autistic children; Megan has early childhood experience with a degree in business administration. Ms. Angela brings 16 years of experience running an early childhood program in her home. Congratulations to Ms. Caitlin and her familywelcoming a change to their family recently; March 17th, baby boy Declan Thomas came into the world!

New changes to PEP’s Board of Directors too! Sue Sorce, an Emanuel Church member and former kindergarten teacher graced the board for almost a
decade (serving three-three-year terms) as Secretary; Stacey Zelinski, PEP Board Treasurer, served on the board since 2011 and Bridgette Frommell rolled off as co-chair and fundraiser after 4 years on the board. Sue’s grandchildren came to our program over a decade span. Stacey and Bridgette were parents in our program with skill sets that matched our needs. Their children have left the PEP program to go to elementary school in Greendale and Muskego School Districts several years ago. PEP has been fortunate to recruit such talented people and will truly miss their level of commitment and expertise. Thank you.

We welcome to the PEP Board Jennifer Meinholdt, a parent in our program and an Emanuel Church member with an early childhood background. We welcome to the board two Emanuel Church membersBrianna Schroeder (music teacher), and Christine Van Hulle (HR expertise). We are excited for them to join our early childhood program just in time for the Week of the Young Child. All PEP Board Members will be invited to lunch in our classrooms anytime during the week of April 8th – 12th. Marcia Goecks (PEP Board President), Cindy Mixon (Vice President) and Pastor Dale Stohre (Christian com- ponent) are Emanuel Church members on the PEP Board. Matt Egan (treasurer) and Kim Kozlik (HR expertise) are Park’s Edge Preschool parents. We are blessed to have such talent and request your help by keeping PEP in your prayers.

Ms. Jenele and I attended the United Church of Christ’s (UCC) Council for Health and Human Service Ministries (CHHSM) Annual Meeting held in Chicago, March 5th through March 7th, 2019. The UCC’s General Synod, will be held in Milwaukee this year; June 20-25. It will be an exciting opportunity for Milwaukee to ‘Shine’…this year’s theme. Ms. Jenele from Park’s Edge Preschool will be overseeing the children’s child care for children ages infant through 5 years old. This opportunity allows for Park’s Edge Preschool to emphasize our mission in sharing Christ’s teachings with the families/ children we serve as an outreach of Emanuel Church. PEP celebrates 20 years on June 1, 2019…watch for details on the summer celebrations coming soon!Tuesday, April 16th the Park’s Edge Preschool families and staff will celebrate Easter at PEP’s Family Spring Fling from 6:30 to 8pm. Each classroom will feature an Easter-themed activity as families visit throughout the center. The Easter Bunny will be here for photographs and fun. The event will also have refreshments too…bunny food (veggies and dip) and cheese and crackers to nibble on. All families and friends are welcome to attend and meet the Easter Bunny too…the more the merrier! Hoppy Easter!

PEP’s Summer Fun 2019 Activity Packets will be available at the ‘Spring Fling’on Tuesday, April 16 from 6:30 to 8pm. Children age 4 and up are eligible for weekly summer fieldtrip outings. Be sure to check out Park’s Edge Preschool’s calendar of activities. We have an exciting summer in the works and want every child to be able to participate. Please return the Summer Enrollment Survey by Friday, April 27th with your child’s tentative summer enrollment schedule. Refer a family and receive a $100 credit to your account after they meet a 90 day attendance policy requirement. PEP is a great place to be during the summer!

Sincerely,
Ellen M. Kvalheim
