Dear Park’s Edge Preschool Families:

I cannot believe how quickly the clock has ticked by this year. September has been an exciting month with the kick-off of the school year. PEP’s Annual Progressive Dinner-Open House, Grandparent’s Day and the USBORNE Book Fair/Fundraiser were a success and made the last days of summer fly by. October is already upon us and the staff and I look forward to the festive fall month.

Milwaukee’s 2017 CROP Walk is Sunday, October 8th. The annual event is an opportunity to help overcome hunger…one step at a time. The Annual Crop Walk starts at the McKinley Marina on Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront at 1:30 pm. Park’s Edge Preschool will participate in the Crop Walk this year by collecting non-perishable foods. Park’s Edge Preschool families have donated non-perishable foods to the Milwaukee Hunger Task Force in recognition of the annual Crop Walk since 2008. We are always curious which classroom will collect the most food. If you have any non-perishable foods to donate please drop them in the box at the entrance by Friday, October 6th. Thank you!

Food…wonderful food! The ‘Good News Group’ from Emanuel Church is showing ‘Frazzled Families’ love and support by serving ‘Chicken Pot Pie Dinner-to-go’. The whole concept behind the ‘Frazzled Family Dinner’ was originally started to promote family time and spiritual growth. Included in each meal is a prayer and parent/child interactive conversation card. Both, Emanuel Church and Park’s Edge Preschool Families are eligible to pick-up ‘Chicken Pot Pie Dinners-to go’ Wednesday, November 15th between 4-6 pm. Be sure to reserve your family dinner by Wednesday, November 8th. Blessings!

With all the beautiful colors displayed in this wonderful natural outdoor setting there is so much to learn and do on the edge of Whitnall Park at Park’s Edge Preschool! Follow us on Facebook!

Sincerely,
Ellen M. Kvalheim, Park’s Edge Preschool Director
