Park’s Edge Preschool’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held Friday, March 30th at 10 a.m. Each classroom hunted for eggs in age-appropriate designated areas and some ’bunny’ special, the ‘Easter Bunny’. Hope you had a wonderful Easter with loved ones celebrating new awakenings.
Summer 2018 Happenings at Park’s Edge Preschool. The 2018 Summer Program Schedule for children eligible for field trips age 4 through school age is available for pick up. Please be sure to let your child’s teacher or the staff at the front desk know if you haven’t received PEP’s Summer Fun Packet for age 4 and older. We are looking forward to a fun, busy and above all—Safe Summer! We don’t want any child to miss out. The Summer Enrollment Survey is due by Friday, April 27th. Your survey response will determine what you will receive in the permission form packet. The permission form packets will be in your family mailbox the first week of May. All permission forms will be due by Friday, May 25th. Monthly field trip payment will be withdrawn on May 29th for June trips; June 25th for July trips; and July 30th for August trips. Thank you.
The Week of the Young Child (WYOC) will be celebrated at Park’s Edge Preschool April 16th- 20th. Throughout the week parents, staff and the community will be honored for their contributions to the healthy growth and development of the young child. Parents Day is Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18…take a special parent goodie bag with brunch-to-go! This year something new…our special way to say, ‘thank you’ to our dedicated Board members on Tuesday, April 17th, PEP Board Members Luncheon will be with the children at PEP. The current PEP Parents that are serving on our board now is Matt Egan- incoming Board Treasurer, Bridgette Frommell – Board Secretary, Grace Hayden, Adam Johnson, Kim Kozlik, Michelle Scott-Grant and Stacey Zelinski – outgoing Treasurer. Emanuel Church members on the PEP Board are Marcia Goecks – PEP Board President, Cindy Mixon – PEP Board Vice President and Sue Sorce – former Board Secretary.
This year’s celebration will feature eight themes to support Early Childhood: ‘Sing, Dance, Celebrate and Learn’; ‘Healthy Eating and Fitness at Home and School’; ‘Sharing Family Stories’; ‘Together, We Can Make a Difference’; ‘Work Together, Build Together, Learn Together’; ‘Think, Problem Solve, and Create’; ‘Recess Time=Time for Action’; ‘You are an Advocate for All Children!’. Each PEP classroom will create a WOYC banner featuring one of the themes for the WOYC Parade on Wednesday, April 18th at 10 a.m. Family members are welcome to come and spectate the fun… come one, come all…and/or come celebrate the PEP’s Annual WOYC Talent Show and Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Thursday, April 19th at 4:30 p.m. Wrapping up the week is PJ Day on Friday, April 20th! WOYC details will be in your mailbox next Monday!
The Wisconsin March for Babies Walk (formerly known as the March of Dimes Walk) will be held at the Pe t Center on Saturday, April 28th. The registration is at 9am and the walk starts at 10am. Ms. Jenele has offered to chair this worthy cause again. The PEP children will donate $2.00 or more to this worthy cause to dress in pajamas on Friday, April 20th. Watch for more details on how you and your family can participate and/or donate to help Wisconsin babies. Thank you.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon…Celebrating Early Childhood Professionalism… and Cinco De Mayo a staff appreciation luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 5th at a surprise location to be announced. The staff will be honored at a special ‘teacher appreciation luncheon’ provided by the ‘Good News Group’ of Emanuel Church and Park’s Edge in recognition of the staff’s hard work in achieving and maintaining NAC Accreditation and a 5-Star Provider Rating.
